We have had this car seat for almost 2 years. What we love about it is the weight/height limit - my almost 4 year old still fits in it very comfortably! Also the padding is plush, easy to snap on/off for washing and install is a breeze once you do it a few times. The built in lock-off's are amazing, making it even more easy to use.
The problem we ran into was recently my daughter spilt milk in this seat. We took off the cover, straps, everything to get it ready to go into the wash. However, I accidentally tipped it forward before cleaning out the little groves that everything gets stuck in, and the milk went under the foam liner. I cannot get it all to come out, and there appears to be no way to remove this liner without breaking it :(. The carseat now of course smells terrible, I could't imagine putting my child in it unless it was completely cleaned, so I'm an unhappy mama. We planned on keeping her in this seat for quite awhile longer, and now it looks like we will be buying a new one - at this point it makes no sense to purchase another true fit due to the fact she it wouldn't last as long for her as a combo seat. It's too bad the new B830 isnt' out yet.
I notified the company that not being able to remove the foam for cleaning was an issue for me, but they never responded.

My daughter was already at the upper shoulder height limit of her Britax marathon by age 3, so I began looking for a seat that would work for my tall kid. I saw the True Fit and thought I'd give it a try. My daughter is now 5 & 1/2 and she still fits in this seat comfortably, and will use this seat for a while to come. Since I've only owned this while my child sat forward-facing, I cannot speak to how this performs rear-facing.
Pros:
1. Removable cover does not require re-threading the whole seat or removing the seat from the car. Hooray! I now can wash the car seat cover regularly without having to disassemble the whole back seat.
2. Extra padding provides a soft ride for little kids, and easily removes for bigger kids. My daughter is 43" tall, weighs about 40 pounds, and she has enough space in this seat to keep toys next to her inside the seat. As long as you remember to remove the extra padding, your kid will fit...heck, even my 5'0" 110-pound friend can get her behind into this seat comfortably!
3. Easy to use with the car seatbelt. Actually, I found the car seatbelt easier to use than the latch system since the belt helps to tighten itself and requires less pulling and tugging in awkward positions on my part. The belt path is clearly labeled on the seat itself, and securing the belt is easier to do on this seat than the Britax Marathon.
4. Generous "wings" around the head area provide a comfortable nap space. Toss in a little pillow and you're set for a long car ride!
5. The continuous strap allows kids to get in and out without having to loosen and tighten the harness every time. Just unbuckle, pull the strap on one side to loosen it and remove that arm, then pull the strap the other way to loosen that side and remove that arm.
Cons:
1. This is a big seat. I have an Explorer and it can fit in any of the 3 rear seat positions easily, but it takes up half the back seat of our Scion xB. This seat might not be a great choice if your car has small back seats.
2. This is a heavy seat. 19 pounds. Needless to say, we don't use this as our travel seat.
All in all, I love this seat. My daughter is too tall (seated should height over 16.5") for any other harness seat that I can find. Thankfully, thanks to the True Fit, she is safely buckled into a harness seat in our primary vehicle, and should remain that way for at least another year.

I love this seat once you figure out that on the bottom of the seat there is a level adjuster to tilt the carseat for secure positioning. Nice neutral gray and material is really soft and comfy! Great buy!
